- Well, as they sang in Gypsy, "you gotta have a gimmick." And mine's the walker I use in my act. And that projection of my AARP identification card I put up behind me on stage. But, truly: I am a very classy dame. You know, like Gypsy Rose Lee and Bettie Page were. Yes, I am old. I'm a lady, and a lady never reveals her true age. I will tell you this: when I was born, Truman was President.
